After flipping through the forums this evening, I'm rather curious as to all the simple things. Basic questions about hopper and pneumatics, questions that you would expect out of someone that is, I've never done this before, why get into it now, not knowing what to do or how to do it. Step back and go back to your dry vans. Enray, for trailers, stay out of a market that you don't understand

My advice is to find a reputable carrier to lease on to and pull their trailer for a bit to see if you even want to pull bulk freight. If you do and you are making good money with the carrier you choose, purchase a trailer and stay loyal to that carrier. Once you have made your reputation as reliable, canvas your home area for direct shippers and fugure out your cost of operation so you have a break even point from where to base your rates. There is money to be made in this sector. Just do your due diligence and figure out where you need to be. |
