So I am just going to put this out there, as a dispatcher, when you dispatch a load number and the driver calls to tell you that the load number does not work, DO NOT just pick another number and give it to your dirver! Call the shipper, broker or whoever you got your load number(s) from and find out what to do. When you take someone else's load number, it creates a snowball effect and a complete headache for the shipper! Not only do they have to figure out who took the load, they then have to change billing and it becomes a nightmare! Have some pride in your job and do it correctly or don't do it at all! My driver used to pull for the company that just did this to him and he told me he has done that in the past. I told him that he is NEVER to do this practice as that is not the way to do business! So to the dispatcher who told her driver to grab our load number at Port Neal, pull your head out of your butt and do things the correct way! You are not the only one in this country out here moving trucks! |
