Ok now. Who out here is accepting $25 per hour for detention? Please show yourself. Even If you are averaging $2 per mile that's $120 per hour at 60 mph driving.

That sounds more like what a company driver would make. I know of a few carriers getting 100/hr but doen't start till the end of first hour past appointment time. So if you arrive 2 hrs early and sit in a dock for 3 hrs you get nothing. In my industry sector when I bid lanes I adjust a little high to allow for an hour/load of wait time. |
